The comparison between early adolescent and late adolescent

The comparison between the early adolescent and the late adolescent and what teacher should do to develop student early adolescent

   Adolescent from Latin is Adolescere meaning “to grow up”. It also mean a transitional stage of physical and mental development generally occuring between puberty and legal aldulthood, but largely  charaterized as beginning and ending with teenage stage.Psychologiest say  that individual who are undergo as adolescent when they are 12 years old untill 21 years old.Crain (1996)  said teenagers involved many changes in the phsysial,social, emotional, and thingking. He also said adolescent are “betwixts” and “between” where they are neither children not yet aldults, they are often in a state of confusion.Shaffer (2001) says there are two level of adolescent development, that was early aldolescent and late adolescent.The girl begin puberty earlier than boys.Adolescents developments including physical development, sexual development, emotional development, social development, psycmotor development and language developments.The characteristic of early adolescent and late aldolescent have difference.
    Early adolescent occur when they are reach puberty, that was the end of child.Puberty also means that the physiological and phychological changes.At this level,boy adolescent show their masculinity and girl adolescent show their femininity.There have difference between early adolescent and late adolescent. The difference between early adolescent and late adolescent can be see by physical development, social development, emonitional development, sexual development, psycmotor development and languange development.
  Physical development for the early adolescent are rapidly especially in the semi puberty. On stage, these physica occur with significant.On stage also, boy and girl experiencing changes in their bodies. For teenage girls, they will experience changes in their body shape and appearance of hair in the armpits. Height and weight will increase actively.  Boys will have enlargement of the chest, shoulders and muscles. While for girl, hips will start to widen and accumulate fat in the chest, buttocks, thighs and waist.On stage, teacher should encourage their students to take health and balanced food. Teacher need teach the way of good eating.It will help their physical development.But on stage physical development for the late adolescent it was last changes of the body.The changes of the body not occur like early adolescent. At this stage, teenage has reached the maximum of height.
  Psychomotor development of the early adolescent occur between 13 years old  utill  14 years old. After this age, girls motor skill was reduced and they begin show the characterictis of women. Teacher should make suitables Physical Education Plan for girl teenager.Boys teenager, their motor skill increased directly at aldolescence. There is a large range of maturity between teenagers and children in terms of motor skill. Therefore, the maturity stage is difference from each person.That why, Physical Education Plan should vary according to the individual abilities. But on the stage late adolescent, their pyscmotor development was very faster. The body structure also change.At this stage, they involved in activities that suitables with their motor skill abilities.At this stage also they was comfortable with their motor skills. It was difference with the early adolescent that was began development.
  Cognitive development for the early adolescent was began complex. Piaget says that teenagers cognitive development was increase. They will be concrete and abstract.but at the same time, they not know about moral consept and confused about their self.Piaget also say that, teenager are able review their feeling and thought, applying the principles to solve problems and schemata or mental structure will increase.At the late adolescent cognitive development keep going .At this stage teenagers can think with abstract and not confused about themselves.They already changes their idea with another person.
  Emotional development for the early adolescent is difficult described.Teenagers have many conflicts. As a example, they want freedom but at the same time, they are still dependent on parents for financial needs and affection.They also impatient and always adheres to their views. The opinions of others are often rarely accepted.Therefore, teacher should encourage competition between them, so they can enjoy the feeling of success.Then, teacher need to compare the performance of the student with the previous achievement.If their performance was increased, reward or praise should given to them, but if their performance was desreased, teacher should advice and encourage their student. This is because, we do not want our students easily give up.But on stage the adolescent, teenagers are albe to control their emotional.They can resolve their conflict.
  At the early adolescent, teenager social development shows high interest to interact with a same gender group.Adolescent boys often have many friends but not closed. For adolescent girls,not have many friends but they are closed.They tend  to choose friend based on similar interests.When, 14 years old, most of adolescent boys interests with adolescent girls.Beside that, teenagers begin build their identity and personality.Their social interaction with peers have also increased. At this stage, friends are most reliable and imitated to them.But during the late adolescent, their social development was changes. It shows that teenagers interest to interact with difference gender group, Beside that, they learn the behaviour that accepted by society.At this time, they begin accepted another opinions. At this stage also, they develop self- concept.The formation of self-concept is influenced by their peers.
  Language development for the early adolescent has reached a good level. They were able know the style and various structural sentence. In the relationship, they were able to use language to express concrete concepts. Teacher must encourage student to read a lot. Beside that, teacher need to tell their student   the kind of reading material that was suitable to improve their language. Language development for the adolescent show tahat, they are able to use the righ language when they are talking.They have understood a word or phrase used sarcastically by another person. That why, they easily offended when parents use sarcasm language.At this stage, teenagers language development have reached a high level. The complex sentence began to use. Communication between teacher, parents and adults will enhance critical thingking, mastery of social skills and vocabularies.
  Conclusion, there is a difference between the early adolescent and the late adolescent.The charateristics of adolescent development will compare either teenagers are reached maturity level or not. During the early adolescent, teacher has the important role. Teacher need to play their role to help their student. Teacher must be smart to play their role. They must make sure that teenager have a positive development.
